we would go over key themes such as war, love, gods, women and so on

We would then find sections from the epic that related to these As well as scholarly sources
•
My biggest piece of advice though is knowing the epic inside and out - i used to teach my family and pets about the epic and that way i knew it so well that it didn’t matter what theme came up

And keep following the simple structure of PEA- point, evidence (from the epic), i did have some direct quotes but mainly just pharphased, then i would analyse the quote and link it back to the question

Finally make sure you have scholars in the 30 markers otherwise you are capped
