Reference for University

So, I have emailed my college on several occasions to try to get a reference. Originally, a woman said she'd get back in contact with me; however, I haven't heard anything since. What do I do now? Do I just keep trying?
I don't have many options as I haven't had a job, and my volunteer work, the lady is older and doesn't understand what to do.

Have you tried sending her a link to this page which explains the process and what she needs to write?

Hiya!

Chasing emails can feel so slow and back and forth sometimes. Have you tried popping in to speak with someone in person? It might be quicker and they can’t forget to reply when you’re right there!

I definitely think it’s worth getting back in contact again, and if you have a college careers adviser or a personal tutor, they might be able to help with providing a reference directly or even chase it up for you.

I hope this helps

Hi,

As mentioned above, I’d suggest following up with your college again, but this time try phoning them or going in person if you can, as emails can sometimes get missed or delayed.

If that still doesn’t work, you could get into contact with the careers team or ask another teacher who knows you well.

Hope this helps,
