Why does everyone going to Warwick PPE have such insane GCSEs

Not seen anything below 5 9s and 3 8s. 98877776666 is it straight up over for me
Last time I heard they weren't even scoring GCSE profiles for PPE, so no.

What do you mean by that? As in they don't filter down candidates off GCSEs and rather look at a levels? How recent was this

Yes, basically most admissions decisions are based off predicted or achieved grades at AL. It's very laborious to score a GCSE profile so few courses do so - tending to be headline things like pure Econ, ACCYFIN, Law, COMPSCI etc.

Last update I heard about Warwick was a year or two back.

No worries. To be honest your GCSE's are very decent in any case - unless you were talking about Oxbridge or some med courses I would not be discouraging you from applying anywhere.

I don't have any specific info about those unis. Some disclose on their website what split they put on AL and GCSE's. If they don't, you can always reach out to them (either the admissions team or academic dept) and see if you can get a bit more info. It would be worth including your GCSE profile as they might even express that it would not be a disadvantage.

Is reaching out to them not like me bothering them or is it pretty normal to have all sorts of enquiries?

It's literally their job. Working in admissions I've answered thousands of entry requirement and assessment criteria questions. If I blacklisted potential applicants for being interested in how they might be considered then I wouldn't have any students.
