Topping up an undergraduate diploma

I was enrolled on a BA in History and Spanish at King’s but dropped out in my final year owing to mental ill health. My plan was to transfer my credits to the OU and finish my degree part time with them. However after withdrawing from King’s, they awarded me an undergraduate diploma and I’m now seemingly not eligible for part time undergraduate funding from SFE.

Just wondering if anyone knows if that’s correct or if there’s any way of getting funded to top up the diploma to a BA. There’s no way at present that I could self fund and it just feels really rubbish that this is the end of my academic career.

Any help/advice much appreciated. Thank you

Hi Ellen,

What is the qualification you expect to gain from The Open University? Is this an honours degree? Thanks, Jason

Thanks. Is it your final year you're going into with the Open University? If so, if you want to contact us via the live chat in your account so we can check why you've been advised you're ineligible for funding. Thanks, Jason
