I just started year 12, i took maths, physics and chemistry at the start of the year and decided to take spanish seperately. I always wanted to do maths, physics and Spanish because I am fluent in Spanish. I decided to go into my school's sixth form despite them not offering spanish and I thought i'd just manage it. Yeah I dont think I can, I ended up failing my chemistry suitability test in the start of october, and I was then put into IT. I was fine with it as Physics + Maths + Spanish could still get me into a good uni as it's already 3 a levels but then i started realising that I hate IT. I was looking into transferring from sixth form to college but no schools are taking year 12 transfers this late. My school then informs me they'll drop me from maths due to low performance (And I also failed my suitability test in which I was just a mark away from passing, yet alas, i also failed the test before that so) and I literally can't tell them to allow me back in no matter what because they are genuinely kicking so many people out of their a level courses and making them do btecs. I wondered if I should just drop out of school for the rest of the year, self study physics and maths and then apply to a college next year and do my a levels there? I want to do either data science or engineering, and without maths, im done for.
