Placements are allocated by each individual university, who allocate based on the hospitals, community areas and private healthcare areas they have links to... which tend to be local to the university.
University of Chester students studying actually in Chester get their placements in Chester/Ellesmere Port/Cheshire West in general, with the occasional placement in Crewe, Wirral, or Shropshire.
University of Chester students studying at the satellite site in Warrington predominantly get their placements in Chester.
University of Chester students studying at the satellite site in Birkenhead get their placements on the Wirral.
Placements in Liverpool are taken up by those studying at Liverpool and John Moore's.
