You chose all the easy ones! Have you got a safety backup? The earliest you'll hear from Oxford is if you don't make the cut for interviews in December. If you make the cut, you get an email in January saying yes or no. Good luck!

Hi! No safety, but I’ve already got an offer from Glasgow! Okay thank you so much - the wait is awful 🤣

Cool! Glasgow sounds like a bit of alright. You got big cojones applying to five hard unis! Yeah, the wait is tense. Hang on in there!

My understanding is that offers from Glasgow are conditional on an acceptable LNAT score and they wont decide this until the end of January looking at posts on this forum. Glasgow offers are a little bit confusing as i was also sent a message that i was being considered for an academic scholarship did you receive the same? Not sure why they would do this now if offers are not going to be firmed up until January. Do you mind me asking what your stats are?

Congrats!!
Yes my offer is conditional! I'm a bit worried my LNAT won't be satisfactory - I almost wish they waited until they knew to give out offers. If it comforts you at all, my offer for grades was a lot lower than my predicted grades, so potentially our LNAT scores are higher than the minimum they think they will set - and they have done it just for the sake of having a condition.

My stats are decent GCSEs (1 five, mostly 7s to 9s). I study the IB, predicted 39. Relevant work experience, law society, relevant leadership in school etc. I think my personal statement was strong. My practice LNAT were all around 30 but I think the real one went a bit worse.

I got the same message (I actually only realised that's what it was saying when you asked this!), I think it's because as international students we have to pay whereas Scottish applicants don't so if you do really well in the exams you get a reduced tuition (up to £1,000 less a year!). It's worth checking if any of the other bursaries and scholarships apply to. If you are of Scottish descent you might want to check if the clan descent scholarships apply.

Thanks for confirming what I already suspected - internationals are receiving their offers first - well done and best of luck!
