MLAT

Just sat the MLAT (Spanish) how did everyone find it? I found the gapfill so hard and a couple of the translations super tough.

I think with the new format time was a big struggle for checking over things i think i made a lot of stupid errors! Trying to move past it and focus on interview if I get one!

I did Spanish. (Also had Phil after) Found it tough. And although I finished I didn’t have time to go back and check. How about you?

Grammar was easier than I expected and translations were harder. Maybe there were 1 or 2 words I didn’t know, but more I messed up the hard structures translating to English and made them sound bad. 😭 Actually pretty happy with it on the whole, I think I gave a fair account of myself. How was yours??

Aaaa Spanish was so hard, I couldn’t even finish and I had like literally one or two only from the multiple choice part where I was sure. and the translation was crazy, I thought the level was completely different from the past papers. Makes me so sad, because I thought I prepared well. 🥺

that’s pretty much how I found it too actually. it felt easier than some past papers in some ways and harder in others

I found the grammar gap fill one a lot harder than usual it felt like it was guessing so many 🥲🥲 The translation was okay but just so many random words or verbs😣 I finished it like with one minute to go so couldn’t go back and check either which was strange because the past papers didn’t take me long to do so the timing really threw me off it just felt like so much to do in so little time compared to the old format (spanish btw)

literally same!!! even the one with the new format was a lot easier and took so much less time but it seems everyone’s had the same struggles all round so it shouldn’t impact too much 🙏🙏

ikr!! i’m glad that everyone found that cause I was a bit worried at first. what college and course are you applying to? are you applying solely for spanish?
