Hey there,

That really depends on what kind of course and experience you’re looking for! Could you tell me a bit more about the subject areas you’re most interested in and the type of university experience you’d like?

At LSBU, we’re based right in central London, and we offer a wide range of courses in areas like Psychology, Law, Business, Health, Engineering, and the Creative Industries. It’s a practical, supportive university where you get real-world experience alongside your studies, and students often say they feel part of a close community despite being in the heart of the city.

You can also chat with our current students on Unibuddy if you’d like to ask about their experiences or what studying at LSBU is really like https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/student-life/chat

I’d really encourage you to join us at our Open Day https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/study/study-at-lsbu/open-days on the 15th November as you’ll be able to chat with our lecturers, current students, and admissions team to get a real feel for the course and career path.

For me, I started thinking (obviously) about what course I was interested in doing
Then I started thinking about the cities I would like to live in/how far from home I would like to be
Have a think about what cities draw you in and if the course at the uni is something you like (content, types of examination (no exams, coursework only, practical assignments, essays etc.,)) and go from there... That's how I ended up in Brighton 🙂

Hi there!

I started like others have said, with exploring which unis do the kind of course I'd like to do.

The Complete University Guide lists unis ranked per subject on a number of metrics. Whilst you shouldn't look too much at rankings, this is a great place to get some initial inspo for which unis are high-performing for your subject area and so could help you start your research.

Hoping this adds, best of luck 🙂
