Most unis would accept any alevels, as long as they meet the requirements. On a sensible point of view, psychology and/or criminology would be obvious choices, but any essay-based subjects would be useful. I would also think biology and chemistry aren't bad choices either for this situation. If you are dead set on forensic psychology, that's what I would consider, as they may be more useful when it comes to the uni course, however, play your strengths. If you are better at sciences, you could go bio, chem, psychology. if not, perhaps sociology, geography and criminology may be good options. Just thank about what your strengths are and if you enjoy/would enjoy that subject and get the grade you need

Hi,

I can't exactly say from my experience but if your sixth form/college offers psychology, criminology or sociology (A-levels/btecs possibly) I think they would be good to look at. I believe some campuses of colleges offer even a forensic science btec but those can be hard to find.
On more accessible A-levels, I would look at chemistry and/or biology as they are practical based and provide more of a theory back-bone to forensic psychology. I can say from experience that chemistry practicals can help you get used to that setting of 'testing' with different chemicals as well as biology and their micropipettes (might be the better science). Maths is also useful as I have heard from the psychology students that there are a lot of statistical data graphs to analyse so a statistics module would be helpful.

I am personally not going into that field but I tried to give an insight into some possible A-levels. I would speak to some people on the university buddy chats as they could lead you to what is required in that course/field.
Hope this helps!

Have a look at the entry requirements for a range of unis, particularly local options and any you have in mind specifically
If no subjects are preferred or required typically then choose subjects that you enjoy. If you find that the required subjects are not ones which you enjoy then consider if the degree is the right option for you 🙂

Look at the courses on unis websites, to see if they require any particular subjects.
If they require any specific subjects, then best do those.
If they dont require any specific subjects, then do whichever subjects you are best at and will enjoy.
Psychology might be a good subject to do for forensic psychology. And biology might be beneficial too.

Hi @Kaya_0606

Forensic psychology is an excellent choice!

I recommend heading onto some university website and checking their entry requirements. You can do this by heading onto their forensic psychology course page. There may be grade requirements or UCAS points requirements. If there is specific A-levels they require, they will also be listed here.

If there are not specific A-levels required and you are unsure what to take, do some research into which A-levels match your desired degree and career the best.

I hope this helps, please feel free to ask me any questions,
