Environmental science or Biotechnology course?

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has any opinions on either of these courses. I am currently trying to decide between the two and am having some trouble. I like being outside and practical so Environmental works in that regard and I did work experience in this sector which i enjoyed. However I feel as though Biotechnology may be a more interesting course as (i may be wrong here) it goes deeper into Biology rather than going into all sciences at a shallower level and I feel as though i may be open to more employment range in the future. I also didnt do geography which is making me apprehensive for Environental. Thanks any feedback is appreciated.

Have you looked at courses like natural sciences, biological sciences, biology or ecology which may allow you to take modules on both? For example, i know that York has modules in their biology course which are more environment focused and they also have modules from their biotech course within that degree.

Yes I have had a look at both natural sciences and biological sciences. Natural sciences for the unis I liked was either regimented or didnt suit me. However bio-sciences is something I looked at with more success. Maybe I’ll have a look at trying a bit of both. Great suggestion thanks

unless the course requires geography a level, you should be fine! I am kinda similar as I am applying for geophysics and don't do geography and I've been told I will be completley fine as it is not a requirement! Have a look at the modules for both potential courses at a range of unis and see which ones sound interesting, and also look at stats on how employable those specific degrees are!
