SOAS LNAT requirment?

Does SOAS University require the LNAT for Law LLB? I keep getting different answers as UCAS and the Ultimate LNAT guide textbook says it does, but then the SOAS website says they don't and will only use LNAT to give contextuals if you get above average

You are right, according to SOAS website, LNAT is not required if you have standard academic qualifications, e.g. A Level. They also said they might lower their offer for applicants who performed promisingly in LNAT. But they give no hint of what score would be considered "promising".

LNAT is not an easy test. IMHO, unless you are applying to other LNAT unis (typically require A*AA), it doesn't worth taking the test solely for a reduced SOAS offer. Good luck.

Hi there,
SOAS requires the LNAT only if you have completed BTEC qualifications. Otherwise, it is not required. If you do complete the LNAT it can be used to lower your offer but either way it is not required if you have completed A-levels.

Hope this helps:smile:
