Gift ideas for a law/history sixth former?

My friend’s birthday’s coming up and she’s not really fond of receiving gifts, but I want to get her something that’ll prove helpful at the very least. I was thinking a book, so maybe a gift card for Waterstones or smth since she likes reading but idkk. We’re both in year 12. Anyone further along in studies got any ideas? What’s the most helpful thing you got for yourself?
Depending on the period history your friend is studying, and your location, a membership to a local Museum may a more unique idea? Most museums large enough to have membership programmes do exclusive events (lectures, behind the scenes tours etc.) as well as newsletters etc.

you could offer to take them out for a day trip to some kind of exhibition or museum. have a google of what's good in your area that you think they might be interested in

hope this helps!
