hey, i've already got all 5 of my offers back and i can strongly say that unless you are applying for oxbridge, then no.
this is definitely true for QMUL, sheffield, leeds, manchester and birmingham but i can't exactly speak for other unis

Hey, 👋
So, English and linguistic courses at typical Russel Group universities don't usually have interviews. Sheffield certainly doesn't and my friend who did her undergrad English degree at Manchester did not have to interview either.
