Depends on the vibe you're going for. In my opinion, saying that you are yet another reader of a bestselling novel from 20+ years ago is not really going to make you stand out.

If you've read it and enjoyed it, it wouldn't be dishonest to include it.
English/history can be so varied, so lots of different applicants will discuss different facets of the subject that they enjoy the most.
At least it's not Prisoners of Geography.
