okay so i watch salle jesse raphael as well as ricki lake and judge judy and some of the guests on there who are apparently teenagers look like fully grown women in their thirties.
am i the only one who thinks that they look a lot older than what they actually are? if a 16 year old girl from england went to america i bet they'd think the girl was 4 years old or something.
Why, niyaaaah, are you watching those shows in the first place (with the exception of Judge Judy)?
Perhaps the make-up artists glossed up the guests prior to the show.
On the other hand, generalising can be quite pointless. Whenever I visited my aunt in the States I met plenty of 12 - 17-year-old girls who looked right for their age.
Yeah. I don't watch these shows... but if, say, they're on in the background All the young ones look middle-aged. I guess the fashion/hairstyles from the time don't help - but still.
Anyway, I also look older than my actual age - by about 5-8 years I'd say. It was a great advantage when I was younger and wanted to be served at a pub or something, but now it's depressing lol.
Are the people on Ricki Lake even genuine? Cause I heard that people who go on Jerry Springer are actors.
I hope for the sake of humanity they're actors Although last time I watched Ricki Lake was because my remote was broke and I was ill - and it was something like "I cheated on my bf!" and when they reveal it, the bf is just like "HAHA oh how funny". Seriously bad acting if it is acting.

Hehe. They're probably the actors who - devoid of talent and looks - couldn't make it to Hollywood.
The OP is right. It's not just TV. I went to America several times and I noticed that too American teenagers look older than European teenagers (who themselves look older than less developed countries). I guess it's their eating habits.
