okay so i watch salle jesse raphael as well as ricki lake and judge judy and some of the guests on there who are apparently teenagers look like fully grown women in their thirties.

am i the only one who thinks that they look a lot older than what they actually are? if a 16 year old girl from england went to america i bet they'd think the girl was 4 years old or something.

I noticed this too in fact at a very young age. American teens always seem so much older than they actually are; it's very awkward.

Perhaps its all the hormones in American meat. I've often thought this as well when on holiday when you go up to Yank girls who looked the same age as me and find out like they were 12 or 14, its rather annoying.

Anyway, I also look older than my actual age - by about 5-8 years I'd say. It was a great advantage when I was younger and wanted to be served at a pub or something, but now it's depressing lol.

People always say I look younger! Someone even commented once on how they did not immediately know whether me or my 13-year old cousin was the older. (Am 23 :eek:

you'r so lucky, i think - not sure if it would be annoying.

i was once in a bank and the woman behind the desk asked me my dob cause she wanted to check my account - when i said 88 she gave me this startled look and said 'wow - you look older, like 30-35' :mad:

that was terrible.

then again, just a couple of months ago this tick guy at sainsbury's asked for id when i brought a bottle of wine. i would have given him a kiss cause i felt flattered lol but he was a really big guy with tattoes and etc and i didn't think he'd appreciate it.

I'd say the difference in American and British girls is the dress style and attitude. Americans are generally confident and tend to dress more casually.
