Mpharm

Hi,

I’m looking to apply for Mpharm for Manchester, UCL, Newcastle, Nottingham and Keele. It was a pretty last minute change from my other option but I have the required AAB predicted grades.

How competitive is the course? I already have work experience volunteering at hospital wards, specsavers and Pfizers virtual work experience. Is direct pharmacy work experience essential? I have seen a lot of personal statements including it and wanted to know.
Hi there!

I'm currently studying pharmacy at the University of Bath.

Firstly, its great that you've been predicted AAB and you've picked a good range of universities!

Direct work experience is helpful especially on placement but is not essential as you'll learn the content along with the course. When I applied, I didn't have a lot of direct pharmacy experience myself but I had transferable skills from my other jobs. At this stage, you can mention it in interviews and reflecting on the experience is important. So what has this experience taught you and how has it improved yourself!

MPharm can be competitive but the admissions team look at the full picture and not just your predicated grades.

Best of luck with your application!
