Hi there,

In first year, your curriculum will be divided into three compulsory modules:
1) Integrated science and Clinical Medicine: You'll learn how to study and apply biomedical scientific knowledge to the subject of medicine. Focusing on cell biology, physiology, microbiology, neuroscience, anatomy, and immunology/haematology
2) Evidence Informed Practice of Medicine: This module introduces you to social science, statistics, epidemiology, and humanities in healthcare, complementing your biomedical and clinical training. Focusing on psychology, biostatistics, epidemiology , sociology, medical ethics and law
3) Medical Skills and Quality Care: The aim of this module is to build the attributes and behaviours which are expected of a safe and effective clinician and demonstrate the concept of professional practice within the healthcare team. Focusing on practical skills, OSCE labs, portfolio and professionalism.

In your second year your modules will be:
Integrated Science and Clinical Medicine 2: Aim with this module to build on the knowledge and skills you have developed in your previous study and further your biomedical scientific knowledge.
Evidence Informed Practice of Medicine 2: This module builds on previous learning to further develop your knowledge of social science, statistics, and humanities-based approaches to health, illness and medicine.
Medical Skills and Quality Care 2: This module will build the attributes and behaviours which are expected of a safe and effective clinician and demonstrate the concept of professional practice within the healthcare team.

These core modules are continued into 3rd and 4th year, deepening your knowledge and skills. In 5th year, you will focus on the transition to clinical practice. You can find out more about the modules here.

Best wishes, ^Hannah
