Oxford - BA Law - UCAS Personal Statement

I have yet to finalise my opening paragraph.

Which book should I mention in the second paragraph of my UCAS Personal Statement for Law? :s-smilie:

Or should I mention 2 books from the list below?

What About the Law? - Catherine Barnard, Janet O'Sullivan and Graham Virgo

Letters to a Law Student - Nicholas J McBride

Stories of the Law and How it's Broken - The Secret Barrister

The Rule of Law - Tom Bingham

Is Eating People Wrong? Great Legal Cases and How They Shaped the World - Allan Hutchinson

What year are u in?
The book, books or other examples you use are somewhat irrelevant. It’s always reflecting critically on the given example that the value comes from.

Write about whichever one sparked your interest the most. It’s a personal statement after all, write about what engaged you.

I've chosen:

"The Rule of Law" and "The Secret Barrister" and will choose 2 more books too or perhaps an actual court case from the Supreme Court UK website. 🙂

I would choose fewer examples and more depth of reflection.

Yes I agree totally with you. Because I am only mentioning "The Rule of Law," "The Secret Barrister" and a book on Taxation Law and the rest will be focused on my work experience at a solicitor's firm and a barrister's chambers.
