NLCS 16+

hey everyone!
i'm in yr 11 rn and in a week i'm doing the NLCS 16+ exams for maths, english, history and econ.
could anyone who has done these exams before lmk what they're like (especially economics).

Maths (and FM but only 1 exam for that)
Economics
Politics

heyy, do you have any idea what the economics paper might be like as i've never studied it before

ahhh fair enough... I've personally done gcse economics, but in my opinion, im not at a massive advantage because from some enquiry, im of the only candidates for economics thats done it before so im sure that it wont be economics based

from my course, i can tell there's gonna be a calculation section, it may ask you to calculate supply/demand/profit but it will tell you how to, just to check your calculation accuracy. also, there may be a section to test your argument making skills, but nothing too economicsy

hiii, im also doing the exams tmr! I have a friend at NLCS in year 12, she told me about the maths paper. She said (this is only useful if it's formatted the same as last yr) that it's in 2 parts, the first is gcse content, well it's all gcse but there are some aspects of further maths like sin, cos, tan, but im not sure what topic of further maths. The second section has 5 questions which you need to pick 2 of them to do. She also said it was the hardest school to get into, and she found it harder than her actual gcse's 😭. I'm quite nervous but she said if there are questions on topics u haven't learn just write that u haven't learnt it on the question.

omg tysm for this. i was just about to learn the topics of gcse i havent yet but i might not bother too much if its only the first half
