gcse requirements for Cambridge, ucl and kcl history?

I fit the minimum gcse requirements for UCL and KCL, but I’m not sure about my grades for Cambridge, I got 877766654 at GCSE (highest grades being in history and other related essay subjects) and I’ve been told mixed things. I am contextual, my school performed less than national average, and I could try and get an extenuating circumstance due to health problems, but should I not apply to Cambridge, is it even worth it. I’m in yr 12.

If you meet the minimum A level entry requirements with your predictions and are enthusiastic about the course then there’s every reason to apply. They will give full consideration to your contextual circumstances when assessing your application and you should also ensure any verifiable extenuating circumstances are included in your school reference.

If you aren’t already aware, Cambridge run a lot of widening access programs and you can find out more here: https://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/find-out-more/widening-participation

There are others offering support also like zero gravity that might be worthwhile. Good luck!

Still worth it! what was the 4 in if you don't mind me asking? still tho with strong a-levels, personal statement, interview etc Cambridge especially (compared to Oxford) don't consider GCSE's as much- they are part of a holistic application process. If you've checked the course page and you fit the requirements for KCL and UCL don't worry!!! Work hard now and you absolutely have a god shot wherever. It's also probably still work making sure they know about any extenuating as well tho just in general! good luck

it's definitely still worth applying, considering that you're contextual, my GCSE grades were somewhat similar, and I still managed to get an interview!
