my situation right now, english lit

i'm a year 13 student in london doing english, history and psychology with a predicted ABA in those subjects:

- planning to do english lit at st andrews or southampton /journalism at ual, sheffield, idk my 5th option
- i've got a bit of leeway with my postcode that qualifies me for minimum entry requirements of ABB rather than AAA
- i'm very unsure about my personal statement and whether it's convincing enough to the st andrews admissions team that i am passionate enough for their subject
- how do i show passion even if i don't have a lot of experience in english lit apart from reading post colonial literature and a taster day at oxford? (they're looking for breadth and idk if i have that either)

my gcse grades were 98888765 (english lang at 9 and english lit at 8), 6 was in maths and 5 in engineering - maybe that's convincing too?

what more, if i do, do i need to do to have a chance at st andrews? i've got until the 10th nov until i submit my ps
