Hi, I am currently training to be a dental nurse and I want to go into dental hygiene therapy at Uni after i finish my course. However, I didn't do A level biology, which most Universities want. Are there any other pathways that I could follow?
Hey, you will likely require a science access course preferably biology as most unis require nursing + 1 additional Alevel equivalent . Essex accepts dental nurses based on their qualification but only for dental hygiene, not hygiene and therapy

Hi, i've been offered an interview at Teesside Uni for dental hygiene- i did A-levels but not biology. I am a qualified dental nurse and to help my application I completed my Level 4 oral health educator course as well as undergoing a fluoride application course. some Uni's accept dental nursing alone whereas other request dental nursing and a Level 4 qualification (OHE, Radiography etc) and some are only looking for biology or an access course. have a look at the entry requirements for the Uni's you'd want to apply for and go from there.
Hi, I’ve been offered an interview at Queen Mary. I am qualified Dental Nurse who did an Access to Higher Education in Sciences. I suggest you email universities and ask about their entry requirements, as some don’t really focus too much on Dental Nursing however it is still considered on your application. So just double check, rather be safe than sorry. )
