Congats, would mind sharing your timeline and stats?

submitted application in early november, int student graduated last year with London RG uni degree in PPE (74%), 80%+ for most econ modules. It's my second time applying (last year in F&E) and I've like two more RAs this time round which probably made a significant impact.

not sure how that is relevant (never really used this website before - just browsed for tips / updates and had to create an acc for actually posting one myself 🤷*♂️)

re stats / timeline - applied just before the Nov deadline (i.e., on the 17th). got a first from an RG uni in PPE, did two RAships in econ. got another MA and some experience in govt (concurrently applied for the PhD). hope this helps

Do they send rejections after sending offers?

Hi all, I applied to the AdvDip Economics and moved to Decision Pending - Your application is under review on Monday after being under review by department for 3 months. Do rejections happen after this stage, because I read in earlier posts that a successful application moves to "Awaiting approval by PAO"? Do you have more insights into this topic?

Hey everyone! When posting updates (DP, offers, rejections) please add as much info as you are willing to share to help fellow current and future applicants. This will also help avoid follow-up questions.

Any update?

Nothing, still under review by department.
Given that it’s now the 10th week after the application deadline, what’s the rationale behind releasing decisions in batches?

At least they're quicker than Oxford. Gotta wait till March for them 😬

I think it depends on the program tbh. I heard back from Oxford in December and Cambridge in January.

Oxford isn’t releasing MPhil Economics decisions until March.

Application deadlines are different

well, yes?

I talked to quite a few MPhil Finance students on LinkedIn. Decisions seem pretty random... like some got their CO in early Feb, most in March. Applying early doesn’t really seem to matter. One guy applied in early-November and heard back in March, another applied mid-January and got an offer in early February.

Good luck, y'all!

Is it reasonable to conclude that applications are distributed among academics and that assessment results are released on different timing?

Any update for Mphil Econ? Still on Review

Is it safe to assume that conditional offers will now be sent after the next degree committee meeting near the end of feb?
