Hello,

University of Southampton ranks #17 on league table for UG neuroscience and it seems to offer a strong research base for their MSc. But it’s also worth looking at the modules of both universities and I definitely recommend you attend both of their open days because speaking to staff and students from experience might change your mind.

All the best

Hi @Discourse11,

So nice to meet you!

I wholeheartedly endorse Anglia Ruskin for the MSc in Neuroscience. The modules heavily emphasise how the brain influences behaviour, and the course is very hands-on, giving you experience with things like EEG and MRI. Additionally, you have the opportunity to collaborate with academics at the amazing Centre for Mind and Behaviour, which does a lot of neuroscience research. Great lecturers. Additionally, because of the smaller class sizes, you can truly get to know your lecturers and receive constructive criticism.

This will be a personal note, but I feel like I have to add this! The course leader, who is truly exceptional and makes the program interesting and research-focused, is another huge advantage. I've been knowing her for 4 years and I cannot think about a better person, lecturer and supervisor! She is outstanding; incredibly encouraging and genuinely enthusiastic about what she teaches, which has a significant impact on students as you might imagine!

Laaaast thing - there are plenty of academic and research possibilities in Cambridge All things considered, it's a very interesting and human-centered course that is excellent for anyone with a background in psychology.

ARU is actually hosting an Online Open Evening for Masters, you're more than welcome to attend. Check the website here: Virtual postgraduate open event - ARU
