Failed driving test 3 times

So I’ve just failed my 3rd driving test, I’m not looking to give up but I am looking to continue try again.

I don’t know what todo in terms of test centres and changing instructors.

I’ve been learning to drive in this test centre/area for over a year now with the same instructor. Do I continue learning to drive in this area with the same instructor or should I continue learning to drive in this area with a different instructor, or should I learn how to drive in a different area with a different instructor?

HELP!! I’ve done over 50 hours of lessons and there’s nothing more my current instructor can teach me (he said this today, and thinks it’s best to go our separate ways). He also mentioned that the nerves get in the way of my driving and believes I’m a good driver. He also said having someone else observe me may do me justice. I think I agree as he gets frustrated at me when I make a silly mistake but he mentioned he does this because he’s passionate and knows I know my stuff when it comes to driving.

Advice needed.

Are your fails always on the same points ? How much practice are you getting outside of lessons ? Hours of experience really is the only way to gain the skills to pass safely.

Yeah, it’s always clearance :frown:. I do weekly lessons so not much, as I don’t have my own car or anyone to be insured on.

I'm not sure what you mean by clearance ? But only having lessons is probably your problem. You need hours of experience behind a wheel, to give ypu confidence and intuitive driving. 50 hours is really not that much experience. When you pass, you want to be safe, not just pass your test. Another instructor and mores lessons is all you can do of you can't go out another way. Good luck.

You know the roads. That's valuable. Don't waste it.
Your current instructor is done and getting frustrated with you - that dynamic is over. It's making your nerves worse, not better.
