Looking for an accommodation in london (preferbly zone 2)

I am a 20 year old female looking for accommodation- preferbly in a Muslim household. I am currently a first year student at London South Bank University.
My budget would be £550 pcm. If any Muslim sisters need a roommate or housemate, please reach out. Thank you ❤️

How fun, my mum also attends that university now! Hi there, I have a student accommodation for 260 per week im releasing, located directly on the victoria line. It is Ensuite (own bathroom) with a shared kitchen. It is a regular student accommodation so not specific to religion but people of all religions are welcome and accepted into the space. Heres a link to know more, and please feel free to dm or ask on this chat for more info https://studentsunionucl.org/flat-finder/need-someone-to-take-over-ensuite-room-20-minutes-by-tube-to-euston-campus

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out regarding accommodation. I might not be a Muslim myself, but I know how broad and welcoming our Muslim community is here at LSBU. We have students from a wide range of backgrounds, including strong Bangladeshi and Pakistani communities, and I’ve seen first-hand how amazing and inclusive their events are.

LSBU offers support to students who are looking for housing options both on and off campus. While the University cannot directly arrange private accommodation based on personal or religious preferences, we can guide you to safe and reliable platforms where students often find suitable options. You may wish to explore LSBU’s Accommodation Office, which list verified properties near campus. These platforms allow you to search for shared housing with other students and contact landlords directly.

If you are specifically looking to live in a Muslim household or with Muslim sisters, I would recommend connecting with LSBU’s Islamic Society (LSBU ISoc) through the Students’ Union. They often have community links and noticeboards where students share accommodation opportunities that may suit your needs and values.
You can find more information and join the LSBU ISoc for just £4.50 for the entire years of you studying at the university using this link: 🔗 LSBU Islamic Society Page

They also share regular updates about Jumuah (Friday Prayers), activities, and social events. Here are their social media and contact details: 📸 Instagram: @lsbuisoc 📘 Facebook: LSBU ISoc 🐦 Twitter: @lsbuisoc 📧 Email: [email protected]

Finally, please remember to review any accommodation agreement carefully before making a commitment, and avoid sending money or deposits until you have verified the property and landlord details.
I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck finding a comfortable and supportive place to stay!

Hi there,

That’s so lovely to hear, it’s great that you’re considering studying at London South Bank University (LSBU)! I’m currently in my final year studying Computer Science (BSc), and honestly, my experience here has been amazing. LSBU is such a diverse and inclusive university, with students from all around the world and every background, so you’ll definitely feel welcomed and supported as an international student.

I might not be Muslim myself, but I can confidently say that the Muslim community at LSBU is one of the most welcoming and active groups on campus. We have students from a wide range of backgrounds, including strong Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Middle Eastern, and African communities, and the sense of unity and respect within the group is incredible. The LSBU Islamic Society (ISoc) plays a huge role in building that sense of belonging for Muslim students.

The LSBU ISoc regularly organises charity fundraisers, Eid celebrations, Jummah prayers on campus, and social gatherings that bring students together from across the university. Even though I’m not a member myself, I often see their events and have friends in the society who absolutely love being part of it. They describe it as inspiring, full of warmth, energy, and community spirit. The society also provides great support for international students, helping them settle in and connect with others who share similar values. We have a large Muslim international student community at LSBU, which adds to the university’s rich diversity and welcoming environment.

In terms of academics, the lecturers at LSBU are incredibly supportive and approachable. They genuinely want you to succeed, and there are plenty of opportunities to get help, whether through personal tutors, academic support services, or study workshops. I’ve also found the balance between theory and practical work really helpful, especially the hands-on projects that prepare you for real-world experience.

LSBU’s central London location is another big advantage. You’ll be close to so many cultural landmarks, tech companies, and networking opportunities, yet the campus still feels friendly and community-focused. It’s easy to join societies, meet new people, and feel right at home.

If you’re planning to join next year, I’d definitely recommend coming to our Open Day on Saturday 15th November (or joining a virtual session if you’re abroad). It’s the best way to meet staff, chat with international students, and get a real feel for university life here at LSBU.

You can also connect with the LSBU Islamic Society for updates on Jumuah (Friday Prayers), events, and activities, they’re a fantastic community to be part of: 🔗 LSBU Islamic Society Page 📸 Instagram: @lsbuisoc 📘 Facebook: LSBU ISoc 🐦 Twitter: @lsbuisoc 📧 Email: [email protected]

So far, my time at LSBU has been full of learning, growth, and connection, and I’m sure you’ll have the same positive experience when you join. You’ll be supported academically, socially, and spiritually every step of the way.
