Offers for Scottish unis

Hi I applied for uni on the 20TH of October and have already received an unconditional for Stirling. I’m just wondering if anybody knows when other unis start giving out offers or if anyone has had an offer already (that isn’t for medicine subjects)

Hey. I did a bit of research into the response times for the unis I'm interested in, so hopefully this is useful.

University of Edinburgh - try to send out decisions by the end of April, but it can be as late as mid-May.

University of Strathclyde - try to send out decisions by March/April, but often sooner as they do rolling decisions.

University of Glasgow - try to send out decisions between early February and mid-May.

University of Aberdeen - try to send out decisions between early February and mid-May.

University of St Andrews - try to send out decisions between early February and mid-May.

Hey @Kiraclark3007 🙂 As the other poster has mentioned, we can make decisions on a rolling basis so you may hear back sooner - but normally we aim to have our decisions made by March/April time so that offer holders can attend events on campus. If you've applied to a particularly competitive course we may wait until after the UCAS deadline to start the main bulk of admissions decisions so don't worry if you don't hear back for a while.

Until you hear otherwise you're still being considered 🤗 Massive congrats on your Unconditional from Stirling!! 😀

Hi, I applied on the 1st October and have received offers from Glasgow for Classics and Edinburgh for Classical Studies. I have also applied for St Andrews which is known to be very late, often April or May! Glasgow and Edinburgh do rolling offers I believe so could really be at any time.

hello my dd has offers from stirling (super quick), aberdeen (2 courses). what i have come to understand is that the admissions team can see applications (when ucas tells you they have been sent) but they need to download in batches to be able to action. Her offers for those three came through shortly after her acknowledgment email from the uni was sent. She applied 9th sept and has only just received acknowledgements from RGU and GCU last week. I think some do rolling admissions and some gather the field and wait until after Jan.
