Personal statement

I heard it's not good to mention the grade you got in an essay competition/masterclass in your personal statement. I thought if u got a good grade it looks good (a 1st or 2:1)? ofc u talk abt what u learnt from it too etc

They can see the grades they care about on the education section. The PS is to talk about why you want to do the course and what have you learnt or done to prepare for it. With the super limited character count, you realistically don't have space for anything else

The grade itself is kinda irrelevant. If you got anything worthwhile from the experience, (IE reflecting critically on it, as it relates to your suitability or motivation for the subject you're applying for), that's the bit that might be worth writing about.
