Applying to diagnostic radiography courses with low predicteds

How likely is it to get into a BBB diagnostic radiography course with BCC predicted grades? The only unis my parents want me to apply to all have BBB grade boundaries.. I also chose this course quite late so I don't have a lot of relevant work experience. Sorry, just wanted to see if this was even a possibility or if I will have to take a gap year

Diagnostic radiography is a fairly competitive course so being two grades below the standard offer isn't ideal. Do any of the unis you are applying to offer a foundation year? In terms of work experience, any experience in a public-facing role is valid (e.g. working in a charity shop, supermarket, cafe, care home, etc.). Unis also expect you to understand the role of a DR and ideally want to see that you have a day or so of shadowing experience in a radiography department. Contact your local hospital to arrange this - hospitals are more receptive to requests for short periods of shadowing experience rather than longer periods of work experience.

Thank you very much for your time. I've worked as a cashier-type job in a takeaway for a few years so I have experience there. I've also done virtual work experience around all allied health roles and attended a virtual talk about radiography. I am going to try my best to get some shadowing experience but the hospital nearby has a high application rate and it seems unlikely. I have also gotten x-rays and CT scans myself recently so I have just the tiniest bit of experience seeing what it is like.
