Special Support Loan question
My Son has just started Uni , is in receipt of PIP (daily living and mobility ) and awarded Disabled Student status .
We applied for the Special Support Loan Uploaded the Current PIP award etc which runs until July 2026 and it showed as being reviewed.
The status then changed to complete and the application for Special Support has disappeared from the SF portal.
Does this mean he hasnt qualified for it or is there a glitch ? Nothing has been received saying what the decision was regarding the application.
My Son only gets the minimum maintenance grant due to my earnings.

Hi there,
If your son is on the basic amount of Maintenance Loan due to your household income this would affect the Special Support Loan as well and if the household income is high then he would not be eligible for it.
