it is a very popular GCSE subject choice. Because hardly any state schools offer GCSE Economics. Also, the A-Level in Business Studies has undergone major reforms in recent years and has become easier too. 😛 lol No wonder, it is one of the most popular subjects at so many sixth forms.

More importantly, I wonder why hardly anyone studies A-Level German? ☹️ Even A-Level French candidates declined but A-Level Spanish is doing well with numbers taking it.

the Republic actually, a-levels are just easier to distance learn than the leaving cert :h:
Spanish is lovely. I can tell the people who made the coursework genuinely loved teaching it, which is really nice. and the chosen texts and themes are fab

The data is mostly the same. I only listed those with 1,000 or more candidates. But there are a few more subjects with less candidates.
