Funding after course withdrawal

I withdrew from an undergraduate course in 2022 (in my second year) after severe health issues. I am now ready to go back to university but for a different course. What funding would I be eligible for, since I have already used year 1 and 2 of tuition fees and student loan. I have medical certificates and a diagnosis letter from the time I withdrew from my course. Would I be eligible for student loan throughout my full undergraduate degree now? And would I have to fund the first 2 years of tuition fees? I no longer stay with my parents and live with my partner who has children, so I am unsure if I would even qualify for a student loan. If I have to self fund for the first 2 years, its unlikely that I will be able to afford to do the course.

Thank you in advance for any help

What course would you apply for and can I confirm if you get your funding from SAAS (sometimes threads end up in the wrong forum).

I am applying for 5 Scottish BSc psychology courses. And yes, to confirm Saas is who I would get funding from

Funding for a new course is calculated as: length of new course - previous study + 1.

For a new 4-year course, the calculation would be 4-2+1 = 3

So you would be expected to pay the first year's fees. However, as you had to leave your first course for health reasons, you could claim compelling personal reasons for that first year:

Thank you so much for your help.

Is this something that I will only be able to do once the 2026/27 applications open in April 2026?

Yes you need to submit evidence for CPR when you submit your application.
