Honestly the mocks didnt matter much for us , I got 7s and 8s in my mocks and 9s in my real thing.

To really obtain those high grades you just need to spam past papers after youve finished all the content like the ones on PMT that have them by year and make sure you understand whats actually going on. For me it really was the past papers and exam questions that brought up my grades

Good luck

Hi @ailmaa12

The two key components to suceeding in GCSE science are understanding the subject knowledge and knowing how to answer exam questions. With this in mind, the things I used to do were:

Make concise notes for each topic, I used to do this in the format of a mindmap.

Make and use flashcards for any key information and vocabulary.

Practice answering exam questions using my own knowledge and the textbook.

Mark my answers to practice questions and carefully go through the mark scheme to identify what words must be included in answers to get marks.

Hope that helps!
