Entrance exams for Kings College Wimbledon and Westminster School

has anyone done entrance exams at kings college wimbledon or westminster school, and if so, how were they? I'm thinking of just going through all the content for my westminster subjects (history, maths, chem, phys) and then for kings the exams are maths and english so go through the english language questions and then do gcse maths exam style questions? what's the best thing to do for general studies? also has anyone got ideas for resources and things? what do the questions look like and how should I prepare? thank you for the help!

heyyyy !!! just had westminster today ! for chem just make sure ur really solid on gcse knowledge, and then try out some chemistry olympiad questions because in the second section they give you really long word problems similar to that. they give you a choice between topics (some will be more organic some more physical etc) so you don't have to know everything but the more u do the more options u have for questions.

history i would do HAT source question papers as those are quite similar to the real thing. make sure to talk about the actual provenance of the source (what it is + where it comes from + audience etc) and explain how that adds to the knowledge we can gain from it (not just what the source describes). also practicing writing a) under timed conditions and b) with a clear structure will make your life a lot easier. hope this helps !!

the obvious religion points and then how heliocentrism was clearly rising in popularity and spreading even outside florence (talking to "some german mathematicians") to the point where they had to put him (publicly) on trial (and then suppressed him) to try and dissuade the people who agreed with him from having + spreading his view. that was pretty much it hbu

yeah pretty much the same thing as you. did u talk about authorial position? i think overall it was pretty easy it’s js that i said “eurocentrism” instead of “geocentrism”. i also talked about how the source gives no proof of whether the geocentric model was popular outside so yes pretty much the same as u

ehhh im sure they'll get what ur talking about. did i talk about authorial position? mainly said bc it's a law that was the "correct" view ppl were meant to have, and it's likely that most people presented themselves as having that view regardless of their actual beliefs.......also that his case got tried in the church court. didn't argue that the origin gave it any limitations tho. how was chem maths and phys??
