are my predicted grades too low for diagnostic radiography

Hi
My predicted grades are BBC (biology psychology, chemistry) , i achieved AAC in my mocks but teachers won’t change them, Have work experience in DR NHS
I’ve applied to DMU , uni of leicester , uni of coventry , BCU and uni of salford
entry requirements are bbb/abb
am i being too ambitious or will i be able to recieve a conditional offer??

DR is a relatively competitive course but unis can give aspirational offers to those who apply with predicted grades below the entry requirements. If any of the unis you have applied to also offer a foundation year, you might be considered for that if you are not successful for the degree course. Prepare well for your interviews as they are an important part of the application process for healthcare courses. There are some tips in the following thread:

If you join in the official DR applicants thread, you will be able to see when interviews and offers start to come out:

Hey @b [s]smile[/s] ) ,

Great to hear you've applied to us! As I'm not a part of the admissions team I can't definitively answer if you'll get a conditional offer or not, but just to reassure you - we look at every part of your application here at Salford, not just your predicted grades. If you've included the details you mention of having done work experience in Radiography in the NHS that'll be a great addition to your statement - it shows you've gone above and beyond to show your passion for the subject, which is something our admissions tutors love to see! If all goes well with your initial application we'll also invite you to an interview, which we base a large portion of our decision in making an offer or not on.

My best advice for any interviews is to show your passion for the subject, and to be confident in speaking up in any group activities - I can't confirm how we'll interview this year (or if there will be any group activities!) but conveying your knowledge and personal suitability for being a radiographer is always the best thing to do! Consider having a look at the NHS values too, and seeing how you can allude to them in any examples/assessments you do.

Fingers crossed for you!
Becky
