I do Edexcel A for reference. I find the actual subject matter and Maths in Economics pretty easy, but I would say exam technique is quite difficult. I have pretty bad teachers (so maybe others find the exam technique easier). If you have any specific questions feel free to ask, but in general the content for the subject is not too difficult, exam technique can be

I do AQA and I second this ^^

For me, the content isn't too difficult to wrap your head around, but the exam technique and applying theory to questions is difficult.

I wouldn't say it puts you at a advantage, but both are helpful. I did both those for GCSE and you use a bit from both. You use linked chains that are very common in business studies, but you have more extended essays from history. The biggest difficulty for economics is probably evaluation (which I've never seen in a GCSE) and the way that you use knowledge in a question. Most people will have to use new exam technique for A Level, so I think the biggest advantage you'll gain is from History just because it has longer essays (like Economics)
