Alevel edexcel politics revision tips

Im in year 12 who just finished their half term doing alevels and my hardest alevel is by far politics as i dont know a single thing abt it like idk how to revise for it, dont know anything in the political world. Anyone got any tips?

Hi, My advice would be Print out your exam board spec and highlight the topics you struggle with and focus on strengthening those and then highlight the ones you are stronger at in another colour so they are still things you will revise but probably wont spend as much time revisiting. Using past papers and when marking looking for the things that are included in the mark scheme. make it manageable e.g 30-45 min per topic break it down repeat often. You've got this!

Keeping up to date with the news will help you with examples for essays you could download the bbc or guardian news app. If you want you could buy the text book as it has all the knowledge you need using this you could make flashcards or mindmaps ( or however you like to present your learning. Make sure you are recalling the information as you need to be able to use it in the context of essays. For the essays do essay plan , you could ask your teacher for potential questions for each topic and plan one out every week and do one every week and ask your teacher to mark it. This will greatly strengthen your exam skills. I hope this helps
