A level history or economics?

I’m currently studying maths, physics, further maths and econmics at a level. But im not sure if I should switch from econ to history. I dont have a problem with the catch up work. I’ve been finding econ quite dull and I find history much more enjoyable. However I am unsure if the content in History will be too much when it comes to revising for A levels as at gcse I found it was a lot. I got a 9 in gcse history. I really don’t know what to do and which one to pick. I have also heard the content in econ is more than it is for history?
Pls help me. I am also looking to study maths/engineering at uni so i dont want econ or history to distract too much from my other subjects

I do Economics and History. History has so much more content! It is by far the subject I have to spend most time on, followed by Economics, then Maths, but I don't know who told you Economics has more content, because I've found Economics content very manageable. I do Edexcel A Economics and AQA History if that makes a difference for you. If you find Economics dull then I don't want to dissuade you from switching to History, but I think you deserve fair warning that History is a lot of work

Thank you so much for replying so quick. My school is AQA history and econ. Do u find econ interesting. Is it just the beginning that is boring and does it get more interesting? How do u revise for it.

I'm applying to do it at uni - so I find it interesting! In terms of the a level content, the beginning was definitely a bit dull, I think I get a lot more out of it when I actually look at markets and economies outside of lesson, rather than memorising PPFs and elasticities in lesson. In terms of revision, I do a mixture of flashcards (for the content learnt in lessons), and then extended notes for markets/economies that I look at outside of lesson

i see thank u again. What do u mean by looking at markets and economies outside of lessons. Do u do wider reading like the FT and economist. I also find things like investing interesting but rn the lessons are just boring

I mainly use the BBC and YouTube, as well as looking at textbook examples and then googling to look at them further. I also use a lot of History examples in my essays. In terms of investing, I don't think it really comes up in A Level Economics at any point - sorry

I'd say so, but only because both my courses for History are very modern: USA 1865-1975 and Britain 1951-2007
