A-level grades for UCL Economics?

Does UCL Economics absolutely require an A* prediction in Maths at A-level, or will they consider A* in another subject plus A in Maths? I’m currently on A*AA but the A* is economics.

I’m still not 100% sure on my uni choices. Id ideally want economics or finance related options and in London. I’ve done the TMUA. What are my best options?

To quote UCL:
Grades
A*AA
Subjects
A* in Mathematics required, plus if Economics is offered it must be grade A.

They have their pick of applicants, especially with so many international candidates.

The A in maths closes most doors for u in london..., howevere St andrews requires AAA, and is better than UCL for econ : https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables/rankings/economics

If you don't have A* predicted in Maths, then your chances of receiving offer from UCL or any Target uni offer which mentions A* in Maths as requirement is 0, you will 100% receive rejection no doubt about it.
As that is minimum requirement for course even for Contextual applicants is A* in Maths.
I know many who is rejected from UCL /LSE with 4A* 3A* and even 2A* predictions(including Me)
Economics is very compitative where majority applicants exceeds grade requirement. So uni have plentty choices
