Does anyone know if we can apply to year 1 of an Mpharm course at Strathclyde with predicted grades BCC in psychology, chemistry and biology with an A* in EPQ?

Hi @Majesticmuezza 🤗 Normally we don't consider Year 1 entry to our MPharm degrees. The normal entry point is Year 2 so this is what you should apply for. We usually make conditional offers at AAB with Biology and Chemistry required (so we'd need higher than Cs). If you're interested in studying with us I'd still recommend applying, but be mindful we're likely going to need your A Level results to be higher than what you're predicted at the moment.
We'll need your GCSE Maths and English at 6/Bs too! 🙂

Thank you for replying. Do you think it would be more sensible to apply to do an HNC and then transferring to year 2 after passing this?

Hi @Majesticmuezza 🙂 We don't normally consider HNC applicants unless supported with some strong grades from school so I wouldn't count on this being a route I'm afraid. What qualifications are you currently sitting - is it A Levels or Highers?
If it's easier to drop us an email to talk about this in more detail then I'd recommend getting in touch with the MPharm admissions team - their email is [email protected] 🤗
hi, on my UCAS ive applied for year 1 entry...do i change this to year 2 by emailing Strathclyde? or do i leave it as is?
Hiya @arooshkk 🙂 I think we normally tweak this and change the entry point to year 2 on our end, but if you want to drop an email to [email protected] for your own reference there's no harm in doing so! 📧
