hi, yes I got in contact with a previous applicant who received an offer for this course but they said they received the email in mid-December which is weird because according to the freedom of information, they said they sent out last invitations in the beginning of november. so don't worry if you haven't received an email for invitation, it most likely in december. My stats meet the requirement and i'm on a gap year so i have already achieved my grades, I was a little off the grades I needed to be able to apply to dental school but everything happens for the best!! How do you feel about the course? Btw this is the FOI which someone asked from the uni. University of Plymouth University

And I only meet 3 contextual indicators .
I only revived a biomedicine offer for Plymouth today .

Hi guys! I applied last year and got an interview- I got my interview invite on the 3rd of Feb last year for the foundation year. Medicine came out in december and I think normal entry dentistry was also February. Last year they said they were trialing a new system so maybe it will come out sooner this time.

Hi, can I ask you how your interview went, ik they do it online, were the interviewers intimidating or not? can you tell me what type of questions you were asked? thank you🙂

can i also ask what your stats were e.g. alevels, number contextual points met and did they use your personal statement during the interviews (as they mention that they don't look at the ps at all).

“To assist you with your enquiry further, I would like to highlight our re-sit policy for our BDS Bachelor of Dental Surgery A206 course. We can consider widening participation applicants for entry if they have achieved at least grades ABC in their first sitting, and if they are predicted to achieve grades AAB in their re-sits, including grade A in Biology and grade A in a second Science (Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, or Psychology).

We would only consider an application to our Integrated Foundation Year A205 course with grades ABB achieved at A Level if you do not meet the GCSE requirements for our BDS Bachelor of Dental Surgery A206 course, that being seven GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English Language, Mathematics, and two Sciences from Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a Combined Science award. I.e. if you meet these BDS A206 GCSE requirements, then you should re-sit and apply to the 5-year programme for a contextual offer, rather than applying to the Foundation Year.

If you have only five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English Language, Mathematics, and two Sciences from Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a Combined Science award, then you could apply to the Foundation Year.”

What are you stats if you don’t mind me asking and how many contextual indicators did you meet ? Did you do the summer programme ?😊
Hi everyone! I'm a current Plymouth student and, although I don't study this course, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions or point you in the direction of more specific answers! 🙂

Best of luck with your applications!
