Changing my course at NTU

@nottinghamtrent thinking of changing my course from Business Management with Human Resources which is a full time course, to an LLB Law long distance part time course that’s advertised on the website. I have previously studied law but due to mental health, failed my first year. I think a part time course be more suitable for me due to struggling with my mental health and also just been offered a job working at HMCTS as the courts and be trained up as a jury clerk. The pay is decent and the hours are suitable for me. I think my course PLUS my experience within a law environment already is really beneficial. I got GCSE History and English at B grade and Maths at C, AAB at A-Levels and Access to HE: Law I got a distinction (A).

Is it too late for me to change courses? I have contacted the enquiries and student services team for more advice. But really think the studying at weekends (I currently live in Nottingham so can travel to campus or work offline) while working in the week would be more suited to me. Any advice be much appreciated. Anyone else on here changed courses?
Hi @Jammiejam93,

Congratulations on your job offer with HMCTS!

Changing your course after enrolment is a process carried out on a case by case basis by your current academic school in conjunction with the school you'd like to move to; as you can imagine there's no one size fits all solution for every students situation.

I would recommend reaching out to your current personal tutor and course leader as they'll be able to guide you through the process and advise you further on changing courses, as well as assist in contacting staff within Nottingham Law School to discuss the LLB courses in more detail.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!
