You need to make these decisions for yourself. You need to decide what you value at a university - if you can go to open days that would be a very good idea to get a feel for them. I would have a look on the UCAS website and have a look at courses that you think could work for you.

As for Business, no one on here can say whether you will be able to get your grade back up to a B because we don't know why you have started getting lower marks or what you are currently doing to improve it. That being said, as you have previously got a B it definitely seems possible to get your grade back up again if you are putting in the work.

As above, look at the stated entry requirements on Uni websites, go to some Uni Open Days, listen to the subject / course presentations and think about where you are going to feel the most comfortable as a student. You also need to be very realistic about a career in Psychology - its a very long climb, with very limited opportunities for new graduates - Clinical psychologist job profile | Prospects.ac.uk

I would recommend applying for foundation years, as you're more likely to get into higher-ranked unis - Surrey foundation year (CCC), Reading (CCC), Sussex (CCD). If you're not looking to do a foundation year, Aston has Psychology & Business (BBB). In the mean time, I would advise to you to use the remaning 2 months to boost your predicted grades, because moving a grade or 2 up would really open up more choices for you.

Hi there,

That’s a fantastic plan, combining Psychology for your undergraduate degree and then progressing into Business or Occupational Psychology at master’s level is such a smart route. It gives you both the people-focused understanding of human behaviour and the professional edge to apply that knowledge in workplaces, HR, or leadership development. And if you’re looking for a university that’s supportive, well-connected, and in a great location, I’d really encourage you to consider London South Bank University (LSBU).

I’m a student here myself, and one of the best things about LSBU is how practical and career-focused it is. The BSc (Hons) Psychology course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which means it meets the highest standards for psychology education in the UK and qualifies you for further professional training. You’ll cover areas like cognitive, developmental, social, and occupational psychology, while gaining real-world research and analytical skills that employers value. Then, if you choose to continue into postgraduate study, like a Master’s in Business or Occupational Psychology, LSBU gives you a 20% alumni discount on your MSc tuition fees, which is a huge benefit.

Another reason LSBU stands out is its central London location. We’re based in Elephant & Castle, just a few minutes’ walk from the South Bank, the River Thames, and key cultural landmarks like the London Eye and Tate Modern. Being in London gives you access to some of the best professional networks, work placements, and internship opportunities in the UK, especially for business and psychology students who want to get hands-on experience with organisations, charities, and companies across the city.

LSBU also has a vibrant campus community, modern facilities, and plenty of places to relax or study, including cafés, study zones, and green outdoor spaces. You’ll find it’s big enough to feel exciting, but still personal enough that your lecturers know your name and genuinely want you to succeed. The support here is amazing, from academic mentors to career advisors who’ll help you plan your next step after graduation.

In terms of your grades, don’t worry too much about your current predictions. Universities like LSBU look beyond just grades, they consider your potential, enthusiasm, and commitment. If you show real passion for psychology in your personal statement, and you’re willing to put in the work to bring that business grade back up, you’ll be in a strong position. LSBU typically asks for around 112-120 UCAS points (BBC-BBB) for Psychology, so you’re well within range.

If you want to get a real feel for LSBU, come along to our Open Day on Saturday 15th November. You can meet the psychology and business teams, chat with students, and explore the campus to see what it’s like studying right in the heart of London.

👉 You can sign up here: LSBU Open Day.
👉 You can also chat with our students through our Unibuddy platform: Chat with our students.

Honestly, LSBU gives you the best of both worlds, a respected, accredited degree, fantastic postgraduate opportunities, and a location that connects you directly to future employers. It’s an inspiring, supportive place to grow, both personally and professionally, and I’m really glad I chose it.

Hiya lovely

It sounds like you’ve got a really clear direction in mind, which is great, psychology leading into occupational psychology and business sounds like a strong and interesting pathway. BBC is still a solid set of predicted grades, and if your recent test in business didn’t go as hoped, don’t worry too much it’s definitely possible to bring it back up with some focused revision and past paper practice. I would recommend to look at entry criteria for different universities to see what you'll need in the end.

When looking at universities, you might want to consider places known for both psychology and a good student experience or maybe if you're looking for placements look for universities where youll be able to leave for a placement year. I personally looked at different universities and the curriculum/what modules I'd learn each year to see if a university was meant for me.

If you’re still deciding, it might help to visit a few open days to get a feel for the campus and area. We’ve actually have our own open day soon Dmu open day , where you can chat with psychology staff and students about pathways into occupational psychology could be a good chance to ask questions in person.

You've got this and there's nothing to stress about

Kind regards Aneta PhD Chemistry

Hi,

You may want to consider BSc (Hons) Psychology at LJMU as an option depending on your predicted grades. The entry requirements are BBB, and the course can be taken 3 years full-time or 4 years with a placement year.

The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and includes opportunities to undertake a minimum 10-hour work placement in your second year. It's a strong foundation if you want to progress into areas like teaching, counselling, clinical, educational, occupational, or health psychology.

LJMU has state-of-the-art facilities, including a driving simulator, human performance lab, EEG lab, neuroscience lab, and testing booths, and the course covers a fascinating range of topics from psychosocial problems and drug use to understanding the criminal mind and brain functions. Third-year options allow you to specialise in areas such as education, forensics, health, work psychology, cognitive neuroscience, positive psychology, and substance use.

Liverpool itself is a student-friendly, affordable, and diverse city. There's always activities going on and the Albert Docks has the most stunning views. JMSU our student union runs many societies and events for all interests so there's plenty of opportunities to get involved. All first-year students at LJMU are guaranteed accommodation if you choose to live out.

If you can, l'd recommend attending an open day to see if our campus feels right for you https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/study/undergraduate-students/undergraduate-open-days
