Be aware that for Pharmacy it does not matter which Uni you go to - and RG it means nothing, All MPharm degrees are accredited as 'equal' by the GPhC, all have the same set syllabus and all lead to exactly the same qualification. There is therefore no 'better' course or Uni. The NHS will not care where you trained - and your future patients will not ask. So - park any Uni snobbery, and instead focus on the Uni environment where you will feel happiest for 4 years, and where your predicted grades mean you are most likely to get an interview.

In terms of GCSE requirements - for all Unis, any specific GCSE requirements (typically Maths and/or English), are not flexible. Yes, more competitive Unis will also look at your overall GCSE profile - and that's another reason for not being over focussed on any idea of 'posh course/Uni', where they are far more likely to use this as a filter/sift. There is no point in you retaking English GCSE - if you meet the minimum requirement, that is all they will look for - and any distraction takes away time/effort from your A levels, so forget it.
