How to cancel student finance application?

I accidentally applied for a full-time loan when I need a part-time one. My course hasn't started yet and I'm not even enrolled so it's not like I need to contact the uni. It's also my first SFE application so I should be able to do it online.
When I try to cancel online, it tells me to call the number 0300 100 0607. When I call the number there's an automated voice that basically says I don't need to speak to a real person and I can just cancel it online. It sends a text with a login link and instructions then hangs up. When I follow the instructions, at the end it still just tells me to call the number. But obviously if I call the number it'll just tell me to do it online which I cannot do for whatever reason. Not to mention that there's like no other way to contact SFE about this that I'm aware of and half the pages come up with an 'Sorry an error occurred' page. I know there's a live chat but I have yet to see the option for live chat anywhere even though it's probably my only way of working this out? I know the live chat is only available on week days during specific times but I still just can't find it no matter how many different pages and instructions for it I follow.
My main issue is that I can't start another application until this one's cancelled and there's seemingly no way of cancelling this one so how do I go about this
