Guys am I cooked for my sixth form choices 😣

I want to pick Bio Chem and Psych in sixth form and like I genuinely don't think I've done terrible in my sciences considering it's my strongest area, but as we all know you need maths for it as well. Last year in my mocks I thought I actually did okay and only got grade 5... In these mocks, I don't even think I did good so I don't wanna know what grade I got.
The sixth forms I wanna apply for asks for like a grade 7-9 for maths... Can I somehow convince them through some beautiful poetry and emotive language on how I strive to improve or is my road closed 😔

Hmmm I think you could maybe ask them if you could get retested on some subjects? Like idk just say you don't feel you performed your best and ask if you can do another test in your own time to show that you can get the grades (make sure you do get them or it'll be a bit embarassing). I think they do sometimes do that.
Not sure how much this will help to motivate you, but I was getting 665 in my mocks year 10, maybe moved up to 766 in my mocks in year 11 in december, but after seeing that I suppose I just decided to lock in and I ended up with 887, so I'd say it's never too late, it doesn't seem like you've lost hope but js remember not to even in the future, even if they dont let you retest, some 6th forms will have spaces left over after people go for their first choice, so if you contact them on the day they could offer you a place (IF you have the grades then ofc).
