durham law

hiii, i sent my application for law off around the 10th october since i’m an early applicant and was just wondering when durham tend to reply with either an offer or rejection! i know some unis wait until the 14th january deadline has passed to start making offers so i was wondering if durham was the same

Hello!

Unfortunately there is no clear policy on this from the university. However, for my course (Economics) I received my response some time during November when I applied in October and therefore it’s definitely in the realm of possibility you’ll hear before Jan 14th.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I applied for Law at Durham on the 13th October - not heard anything back yet, is it feasible to hear something back before Christmas (assuming I did well on the LNAT)?

Durham gets a lot of applications every year especially for really competitive courses like Law and because the administration wants to go through each application properly and thoroughly, there isn't a very set in stone timeline for when you should receive a response by. It is definitely possible you will hear before Christmas especially since you've applied so early but unfortunately there is no way to guarantee they will.

hey i received a law offer from durham this evening, i gave my application in on the 7th November. i’m a home contextual student predicted A*AA, i was really shocked when i seen the offer as durham are known for giving out late offers so it’s completely normal!

My son (home/non contextual) is currently in his first year at Durham studying Law. He applied early last year but didn't hear until late March, so whilst some are hearing already I expect others will have a similar wait to what he did.
Good luck to everyone and try not to stress too much.
