University reverted my unconditional offer to conditional but never followed up.

Hi everyone,

I’d really appreciate some insight on a situation with my university application.

I received an unconditional offer a few months ago, completed my acceptance, paid the acceptance fee, and got full student access (email, portal, ID, etc.).
A week later, the admissions team emailed saying that my offer was “reverted to conditional based on English language requirements” and that they would send a follow-up email “shortly.”

It’s now been more than a month, and there has been no further communication, no updated offer letter, and my finance and student info teams still show me as an active student starting in January.

I didn’t submit an English test originally, but my offer didn’t list that as a requirement.

Has anyone experienced something similar where the university quietly reverted an unconditional offer to conditional but never followed up?
Did it affect your enrolment later?

Any advice or shared experiences would really help. Thanks!

Keep copies of your original offer, have you rang them up to ask what's going on?

Thanks! Yes, I’ve kept all copies of my original and unconditional offer letters, including the one from mid-October confirming my place and also acceptant certified.
I haven’t called them yet because admissions said in their last email that they’d send a follow-up “shortly,” so I thought it’s better to be silent.
It’s been over two weeks now with no update, so I might contact them soon if nothing changes

You need to call them ASAP.

Can I ask whether you’re an international fees payer?

Yes, I’m an international student.
My course is now going to be online, and this change happened right after my transfer from an on-campus to online programme.
That’s when they suddenly marked my offer as conditional again but they haven’t contacted me since.

So call them

There's no more advice we can give you until you ring them up and find out what's happening
